Jodi Anderson...

has been a dental assistant since 1992. Her dental assisting training was completed in Des Moines while practicing with a general dentist. She is a Registered Dental Assistant and Certified in Radiography. Jodi has worked in all facets of the dental profession. She has been a head chair-side assistant in a pediatric, orthodontic and general dental practice. Her knowledge, organization, and personality make her a wonderful and extremely important asset to our team. Jodi is from Urbandale and has lived in the Grimes community since 2002. Outside of work, Jodi's life is filled with friends and family. She enjoys spending time with her four nieces who are very close to her and getting together with her large circle of friends. But in the summer, softball becomes the talk of the office.
 

Andy Grove...

is a 1999 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa in Social Science Teaching. He has been teaching high school American History and Psychology in Blaine, Minnesota for the past 6 years and is currently the office manager at Grove & Platt Dental Associates, P.L.C. He and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Grove, just recently moved back to Iowa to open the practice together here in Grimes. He enjoys living in Grimes and spending time with his family and friends, fishing, hunting, and hanging out with his wife. He has enjoyed learning the lingo of dentistry, meeting the patients, and working with mother-in-law (Debbie Platt), father-in-law (Dr. Mark Platt) and his wife...honestly :)
 

Tanya Heringer...

graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with her Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene in May 2005. In 1995, she received her certificate in dental assisting and was active as an assistant and office manager until entering hygiene school. Tanya's love for her patients and ability to educate have helped make the practice what it is today. When away from work, Tanya is active in her church, playing the piano and singing on her church's worship team and works part-time at the John R. Grubb YMCA. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves a good game of basketball.
 

Debbie Platt...

has worked in the dental field for 23 years. She and her husband, Dr. Mark Platt, worked together to develop the dental practice in Ogden, Iowa. During the years she has enjoyed being involved in her husband's business and being a mom. Her two children are now grown and married, but she has stepped into a new delight -- being a grandma. Her hobbies include her church, cooking, gardening and friends. Debbie is looking forward to helping develop the Grimes dental office and getting to know the people here.
 

Tina Whitver...

graduated from Des Moines Area Community College in 2004 with a dental assisting certificate. She is a registered/certified dental assistant. Tina is currently back in school obtaining her Associates of Applied Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from DMACC. Tina still stops in to help us when she can and will be joining us again in the spring of 2008 as a full-time hygienist. Her caring attitude and dedication to patients will be a great asset to the practice. Tina currently lives in Grinnell and in her free time likes to spend time with her family, friends, and her son, Caden. And she is a huge Cyclone fan!
 

Kristin Hansen...

graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in May 2006. Prior to her 2006 graduation from DMACC, Kristin graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College with her Associates Degree. She also participated in volleyball and softball for the college. After attending ILCC, she worked as a dental assistant for the past three years. Kristin's positive attitude and calming nature help put her patients at ease. She has made a smooth transition from assisting to hygiene and we're glad to have her aboard. Kristin is originally from southwest Iowa and currently lives in the Des Moines area. She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family, friends, and her husband Corey.
 

Verlaine Faber...

has worked as a dental assistant for the past 12 years. She currently is a full-time assistant at the Ogden Family Dental Clinic and she comes to Grimes to assist on a part-time schedule. Verlaine and her husband, Rich, live in Ogden and have three grown children and two grandchildren. In her spare time, Verlaine enjoys being with family and friends. “Being a Grandma is the best!” She is also active in community activities and her church.
 

Eddy Draman...

graduated from Vatterott College and has been working as a registered dental assistant since September, 2006. Eddy joined our office in November of 2006 and has been a great addition. She is excellent working with all patients, but really has a gift working with the children in our practice. Eddy enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her wonderful daughter Hailey.
 

Amanda Preston...

graduated from Des Moines Area Community College in August of 2007 with a dental assisting certificate and liberal arts degree in Business Management. Amanda has been a fun addition to our staff. Although she is the rookie in the office, she has adjusted well and has provided some great comedy relief. Amanda enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoys going to Iowa City and watching Hawkeye football, playing tennis, going to concerts, and sleeping in.
 

Jill Olson...

graduated from Des Moines Area Community College in May of 2006 with a dental assisting certificate. She is currently a registered/certified dental assistant. Jill worked at a pediatric dental office prior to joining our team here at Grove & Platt Dental Associates. She is great with children and is extremely hard working. Jill enjoys spending time with friends, her boyfriend Anthony, playing softball, fishing and watching Hawkeye football!
 

Cindy Bridger...

graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with her Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene in May 2003. Since joining the office in May of 2007, Cindy has fit right in. With her contagious smile and positive attitude, Cindy is outstanding with patients and an awesome person to be around. She loves doing yardwork, cheering on Iowa State, boating, and hanging out with friends and family.
 

Kim Scott...

graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with Bachelors Degrees in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She is also certified as a Stott Pilates Instructor. Her family consists of her husband Kelly, daughters Lauren and Elle, their dog Sadie and cats Kiki & Moses. Kim enjoys Pilates, spending time with family, jazz music and all types of artwork. Kim works as an office receptionist handling insurance profiles, scheduling, and patient documentation. She is wonderful with patients, and is the first smile you see when you walk in the door. Kim has enjoyed learning all aspects of dentistry and excited to be part of the Grove & Platt Dental Associates family.
